EMBASSY OF BRAZIL IN BRATISLAVA
The Selection Committee appointed by the Ambassador of Brazil, acting on behalf of the Embassy of Brazil in Bratislava, publicizes the selection process for hiring 1 (one) Domestic Assistant to the Residence (“Auxiliar de Apoio Doméstico da Residência”), in the terms of Decree No. 1,570, of 07/21/95, and the Ordinance of the Minister of Foreign Affairs nr. 12/09/95, which is ruled by the terms of this Notice.
1.1. The Domestic Assistant to the Residence (“Auxiliar de Apoio Doméstico da Residência”) is the employee locally hired for cleaning, washing and ironing, cooking, serving at the table and doing the canopy.
1.2. If necessary, the Embassy can assign the employee other functions within the same category of employment, without characterizing contractual change.
1.3. The recruitment is for a permanent contract. Labor relations are governed by labor laws of the Slovak Republic.
1.4. This selection process is not a public tender, and the vacancy does not characterize public office or public function.
2 2. Requirements
2.1. The candidate must have previous experience, attested by a letter of recommendation, and be able to communicate in Portuguese or English.
2.2. Minimum age of 18 (eighteen-year-old) is also required.
3.1. Those interested in applying shall submit the following documents to the Selection Committee, by post, email or at the address indicated in the paragraph below, no later than August 22, 2016.
a) curriculum vitae;
b) statement attesting that the Candidate is aware that the job does not characterize, nor can be mistaken with any public function or mode of employment by the Government of Brazil, nor ruled by Brazilian law;
c) ID, with minimum age of 18 (eighteen-year-old);
d) medical certificate attesting physical and mental healthiness for the job;
e) proof of enrollment at the local social security system, or, in the case of a Brazilian citizen, proof that enrollment is prohibited due to the Slovak legislation;
f) if Brazilian, electoral discharge certificate;
g) if Brazilian, statement signed by the Candidate, confirming that he/she does not occupy any position at the Brazilian Government, and that he/she does not receive any income or remuneration from the Brazilian Government;
h) if male Brazilian, copy of document attesting the discharge of military service; and
i) at least 1 (one) letter of recommendation from previous jobs in the same field.
3.2. All correspondence related to this selection process shall clearly indicate the name, address, phone, e-mail and the sender’s fax number (if any), and be addressed to the following address:

3.3. All the applications presented after the deadline or without the documents listed on items „a“ to „i“ of paragraph 3.1. above will be rejected.
4. Selection process
4.1 Prior selection of curricula will be carried out, taking into consideration the candidate`s skills, training and experience. The Selection Commission reserves the right, based on the documentation submitted, to denying the applications of those whose qualifications are not judged compatible with the job. Candidates whose resumes are pre-selected, will be informed until 23 August 2016.
4.2. The pre-selected candidates will be called for interview on 24 and 25 August 2016.
5. Results and expiring period of the selection process
5.1 The name of the selected candidate shall be announced on August 26, 2016.
5.2 This selection process is valid for 12 (twelve) months from the date of the publication of the final result. Candidates considered suitable can be called to occupy futures posts in the same field, may they arise before the expiring date of this selection process.
6.1. The contract shall be of one year, renewable by mutual agreement. The probation period shall be of 3 (three) months.
6.3. The selected candidate shall work 15 hours per week net, unevenly distributed at the convenience of the employer.
6.4. The basic salary will be of € 462.00 (four hundred sixty-two euros), also being provided food allowance in accordance with the internal rules of the Embassy (“Guia de Administração dos Postos”). Social security and health insurance contributions will be discounted from the share of the employee, according to the local legislation.
7. General Provisions
7.1. The dates set out in this Notice are subject to change at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
7.2. Situations not covered by this Notice shall be decided by the Selection Committee.
7.3 In case of any discrepancy between the texts of this Notice, the Portuguese version shall prevail.
